my creative space - on impulse

I was loitering in the aisles of my local craft store this morning and saw this. It instantly took me back to the 1980s when fimo was all the rave. I couldn't resist - I just had to have some.

Oooo... so many things I could make... I think I'm going to use it as medium for some creative healing. Try to approach it without having something in mind to make - an exercise in going with the flow.

Catch-up with more creative spaces here.

  2. Oh yeah, sculpey is FUN! I have a whole bunch of colours here from my last polymer clay phase... I might have to break them out!

  3. Cracker of an idea! 'free flowing creation/play time, with no pressure to perform'. I bet it will take you right back and you end up making something similar to a piece you made when you actually used Fimo. Peta

  5. Yep - that's it. I'm well overdue a 'go with the flow' crafty something. Thanks for the inspire - can't wait to see what happens to the Fimo!

  6. You're speaking my language! Having said that, I still haven't revealed my recent abismal 'go with the flow' crafting, a dry-felting effort which just ended up, um, a big wad of matted wool felt.
    Fimo. Thems were the days.

  7. I’ve been thinking about getting the old fimo again this week. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
