zucchini

At the beginning of summer I sowed some seeds…

… that are now starting to fruit.

zuchini

I’ve never grown tondo di piacenza (round) zucchini before. Apparently the variety is very popular in Italy. Thriving despite my neglect and the scorching temperatures I can see we’re going to have a bumper crop.

I am so looking forward to eating them… I can’t imagine it will be much longer.

  4. Absolutely scrumptious. The flowers are TDF. I love the zuc's thinly sliced in salad, grated in a quiche, veg rissoles or cake, oh the list is endless ... you're definitely blessed. Well Done ;)

  5. I so want a veggie patch and we never get around to it, probably because I am not sure where to put it. I really need to just get over it and have a crack

  9. Another one here drowning in the flood of zucchini. If any Aussies out there get the free Coles supermarket mag, the current one has a zuch, sweet potato & feta frittata that is just terrific! Can't get enough of that one!
