willow

The White Blanket has commenced. I’ve hooked eleven of these squares to date, but think I will stop at twelve and start a new motif. Asked the boyfriend to flick through Jan Eaton’s book to see if there were any squares he particularly liked – thought it was the polite thing to do since he’d be sharing the blanket with me, and much to my surprise not only was he keen but he chose really tasteful squares too. Those two-great-minds-alike moments are precious aren’t they, so much better than the don’t-see-eye-to-eye-and-won’t-budge moments. So The White Blanket is off to a great start…

Ravelled.

  12. Mr Mr was an entirely enthusiastic about the epic ripple blanket (he never did ask how much the yarn cost though) and we both still do a contented sigh as we climb into bed and feel the lovely weight of it. I'm a bit in love with the notion of your white blanket. Very excellent you have a cheer squad on the home front to boot!
